Ariana Madix did not move out of her shared home with ex Tom Sandoval — despite tricking fans into thinking she did.
On Monday, the “Vanderpump Rules” alum was photographed moving boxes out of their $2 million home and into a U-Haul, presumably marking the end of her awkward living arrangement.
She also documented the “move” on her Instagram Story, posting a video next to a pile of packed boxes captioned, “Ready to dip out.”
However, SoFi — a personal financial planning service — confirmed to People on Tuesday that the whole thing was just a “stunt.”
Reps for Madix, 37, also revealed she is still living with Sandoval, whom she broke up with in March after discovering he had been sleeping with her best friend and co-star, Raquel Leviss.
Madix later confirmed the elaborate scheme on her Instagram Story, saying she was “moving up, not out.”
In a subsequent post on her grid, Madix praised the “all-in-one” finance app for helping her make money moves “during the tough times.”
Despite deceiving her 1.8 million followers and the entire Bravo universe, many fans were thrilled to see Madix landing such a big brand partnership.
“Kinda devastated she’s not actually moving out tho,” one user commented. “That was the move we were all rooting for! But happy for her and the come up of all come ups!! 👏🏼💰👏🏼💰👏🏼.”

Despite still living with her ex, Madix recently revealed she plans on selling the five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home.
“I’ve been on the phone with a real estate agent,” she said on “Today With Hoda & Jenna.” “And I would like to sell that house and move somewhere, own my own place on my own, and start my new life.”
Although the exes “do not interact on any level” when they’re both home, Madix told Andy Cohen she wants to move out “as quickly as possible.”
The exes bought the modern farmhouse — which they previously called their “forever home” — in 2019.
However, Madix has had the home mostly to herself as Sandoval continues to travel around the country for his cover band’s tour — which has been less than successful amid backlash over his bombshell affair.
