Kim Kardashian has angered many fans after recently voicing her challenges of being a single mom.
The reality star, 42, said parenthood was ‘really f*****g difficult’ during her appearance on Monday’s ‘On Purpose With Jay Shetty’ podcast, where she also admitted that she “sometimes cried herself to sleep” due to the stress.
However, many disputed his “complaints” and pointed out that the SKIMS founder – who shares nine-year-old North; Holy, seven; Chicago, five; and Psalm, four with ex Kanye West, 45 – has a lot more help than the average mom.
“She has Nannie (sic) and a lot of support compared to the average woman, and yet she still complains,” one commenter pointed out.
‘Kim has 4 nannies, one assigned to each child. Motherhood is not difficult. The nannies raise her children. She needs to stop trying to act like she’s middle class,’ another wrote.
“She also talks like she doesn’t have a FULL STAFF OF PEOPLE HELPING HER WTF,” someone else added.
‘I HATE how they never acknowledge their help like they don’t have nannies, maids, personal chefs, personal trainers, plastic surgeons on speed dial. get REAL kim’ , replied another person.
‘So much falsehood and contrived drama in their lives. Has so much nanny background help. You’d swear she’s doing it on her own,’ another joked.
Other comments praised Kim for her work ethic, but complained about not acknowledging the help she receives.
“I just wish parenting things she would acknowledge and go into detail about helping and helping Nannie,” one wrote.
“Kim has a nanny to help her, and I’m sure she works hard and enjoys her job, but she doesn’t do everything on her own…”
However, the Hulu star has also received plenty of positive comments from others related to her situation.
“As a mother of 4 myself and a single mother, she speaks from legitimate experience!” She may be very successful, and she’s a nanny…but what she’s talking about with 4 kids and a mom…it’s PERFECT! Nobody understands that if you don’t have several children. a woman wrote.
“Being a single mom is hard. I can’t imagine being in the public eye too, constantly being judged and criticized for all aspects of life,” another added.
“I can’t imagine being a single mom of 4 with millions of people watching and ready to criticize every move!” Made me respect so much more! ❤️’ yet another fan commented.
When the host asked the TV personality about her ‘view’ of parenting in the past before the kids versus ‘what actually is’, she said: ‘Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be a truer statement.
She continued, “So when you’re there, I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding and there’s madness. It’s like total madness. It’s the best chaos However.
“Like, my mornings, you have no idea what’s going on,” Kim explained. “It’s like I always have to style one of my daughter’s hairs, and it has to be perfect and in a certain way.”
“And then this one needs me to put his shoes on and they all need you.” It’s like crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild. That’s why I need my workout in the morning, just to love, get ready for the crazy two hours.
The media personality then reflected on parenthood and told Jay, “I would say parenthood is the thing that has taught me the most about myself.”
“That was the hardest thing. There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, that fucking tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?
“You know, with all the moods and personalities and sometimes they fight, and you know, there’s no one there. Like, it’s (just) me to play good cop and bad cop” , she admitted, adding that she was “working on being a little more firm”.
Kim continued to open up candidly and admitted to Jay that “nothing can prepare you.” Anyone, anyone who says “Oh, we’re waiting for ‘x’ amount of money in the bank” or “Oh, we’re waiting for a house before we have children”. .. you are never ready .’
However, despite the parenting challenges, the star said positively, “You’re going to find that out. And it’ll make you so proud of yourself that you figured it out and got through the day.
While the mother-of-four admitted to the challenges of raising a family, she also revealed how rewarding it can be. “It tells you so much more about yourself than I think anyone, any parent, could have imagined.”
Kim’s marriage to Kanye ended in February 2021, before their divorce was finalized in November 2022.
